We've stayed at the Wardonia several times, which shows that we must like it somewhat. I'll be honest, as I've probably said in my last review of the hotel, we use it because (a) it's reasonably priced and (b) it's very convenient for St Pancras and Kings Cross. This last is very important to us, as we basically use the Wardonia as somewhere to leave our bags, use the toilet, and have a sleep and a shower between getting off the coach to London and catching the Eurostar next morning. For this, the place is ideal. Yes, the rooms are small, yes the shower room is compact, but the bed is comfy, the toilet is clean, the towels dry you, the telly works, and it's warm. The staff are welcoming and friendly, rooms are easy to find, and it's five minutes walk in a straight line to St Pancras. There isn't a kitchen or restaurant, but you're in London. There are shops and restaurants and pubs whichever way you turn. If you don't feel like looking too hard, there are loads in St Pancras, and the Brunswick Centre is not far down the road. You probably wouldn't want to spend a lot of your waking time in the room, but again, you're in London. Go to the pictures, or the theatre, or the British Museum, or the Foundling Museum (both just a short walk away), or just go and see the sights. If all you want is a reasonably priced bed for the night while you wait for a train or after a show, the Wardonia is perfectly adequate.

This property is incredibly close to Kings Cross Station, the Great British Library, several takeaways and a few shops for your food and drink needs. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming upon arrival, and the room we were given was fairly spacious and clean, and even had a door that led to a small outside patio-like area that we could step onto for whatever reason (because none of us vape or smoke, we did not need to use the outside area at all). There were tea and coffee amenities, as well as shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom, which is always appreciated. There were also plenty of plug sockets dotted around the room! It was a small joke between myself and the others I travelled with, as usually the places we stay have one plug socket to share between everyone, but there were at least four or five in the room alone that we could all use. I personally found the beds quite comfortable, though I am aware comfort is subjective to the individual in question. We mostly used the place to sleep and relax when we weren't running around watching shows or musicals, but it was pretty decent and close to the station, which is what we wanted. Overall, a decent place to stay for a few days in central London!

The Wardonia is an ideal hotel for travellers on a bit of a budget but still wanting some little comforts. This is my second time staying here and I would be quite content to stay again. I stayed in a single bed room which, as expected for a city hotel room, is quite compact however, still felt spacious enough to me. Decoration is a little outdated but it's clean, the window opens, and the bathroom is modern. The hotel is located just off Euston Road by King's Cross Station, a ten minute walk from London Euston, and I barely heard any traffic noise. It is well placed for the underground, local amenities and within easy walking distance of several popular locations. It is worth noting for those with accessibility requirements that there is no lift and the stairs are a bit tight for large luggage items. Would recommend contacting the hotel to discuss options. I had a lovely stay at Wardonia and have been recommending it to friends and family.

Excellent location right off the St. Pancras/King’s Cross Tube and train stations. Lots of restaurants, bars and small grocery stores in walking distance. Everything was very clean, which is very important! Desk staff was on-site and available 24/7. They even allowed us to check in a bit early, which was a great surprise (don’t expect this but they do allow you to keep your bags there if you do get there well before check in). The rooms are VERY small. Enough space for a bed and very small desk. This is fine for a solo traveler or two people who are comfortable in close quarters. We knew these were small rooms, so we were not surprised or disappointed in the slightest. Bathroom was clean with good shower pressure and lots of hot water.

If all you need is a bed for the night, a toilet and a shower, within very easy reach of Kings Cross or St Pancras Stations, the Wardonia is ideal. Rooms are small, but the hotel is very honest about this when booking, so that isn't a problem. Our room was very clean, with fresh bedding, clean shower and toilet, tea making facilities, and was as quiet as you'd expect a hotel in this location to be. The lack of breakfast and dining facilities, again something the hotel is open about, are not a problem, as there are plenty of options available within a few minutes' walk. Staff were friendly and helpful.
